About The Gambia Labour Market Information System
The Gambian Labor Market Information System (GLMIS) contains quantitative and qualitative information in the form of statistics, indicators, analytical reports and other documents relating to the labour market in The Gambia. It assists researchers and policy-makers to assess the supply and demand for labour and employment as well as provides valuable information for decision making by potential entrepreneurs, businesses, individuals and the media.
The GLMIS is a joint venture of many institutions with principal stakeholders being (i) Ministry of Trade, Industry, Employment and Regional Integration including the Department of Labour (ii) Gambian Bureau of Statistics, (iii) National Training Authority, (iv) Social Security, Finance and Housing Cooperation.
The main menu offers a choice of statistics, graphs and maps from various sources as well as reports, Gambian labour law and links to major international and regional partners.
