Launch and Investment Tank Day

Marking the launch of SheTrades in The Gambia, stakeholders will come together to support women making business and pitching for investments.

SheTrades in The Gambia aims to enable Gambian women to benefit from economic participation starting with a focus on agricultural and textiles and garments value chains. The project is part of the global SheTrades initiative, which aims to connect 3 million women to market by 2021.

The day will also include an Investment Tank organized in partnership with the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) and the Leadership Gambia Institute. The session will feature young female entrepreneurs pitching to convince investors to fund their businesses.

SheTrades in The Gambia and the Youth Empowerment Project are implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC), in partnership with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE).
